Written Communication - (Emails, Reports, and Proposals)
In today’s business world, it is vital to have certain communication skills – and written communication is one such imperative skill. There are many number of professionals in the world today who are non-native speakers of English, but are expected to perform in a business environment completely dominated by English. In fact, it would be appropriate to go a step further and note that even some native speakers of English struggle with writing skills. Incorrect grammar and lack of professionalism are sometimes looked at as an indication of low intelligence and/or carelessness, both of which are counter-productive.
Written communication is a functional requirement for any organization – both internally and externally. The most common usage of written skills is in drafting and sending emails. However, it is equally necessary to prepare reports and proposals. An error-prone email/proposal or one which is too basic in style can cause serious damage to business and brand perception. This program is an effort to build the written skills that are required at the workplace. Designed specially to meet the requirements of working professionals, it delivers important learning in English language & its usage to improve the participants’ productive skill i.e written communication.
For the written communication skills module, follow the CELTA methodology which is known to produce tremen-dous results. CELTA is an essential TEFL qualification that’s trusted by employers, language schools and gov-ernments around the world. It follows the ‘emulsion’ school of thought which advocates that the learners be en-gaged in activities and simulations to enhance their learning. This learner-driven method puts the students in the spotlight and the trainer monitors their progress, ending each session with a detailed feedback – also referred to as ‘language analysis’. We fine-tune the actual ‘training intervention’ based on the results of our rigorous IELTS-styled pre-training assessment. The pre-training assessment gives us valuable insights into the assesses written skills, which in turn enables us to fine-tune the training content to cater to the needs of their participants’ job roles in the organisation. To know more about CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and how the CEL-TA teaching methodology can add significant value to the learners, please visit http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/teaching-english/teaching-qualifications/celta/.
