Cross-Cultural Sensitization

There are both benefits and drawbacks of working in a cross-cultural setting. It has been often noticed that there is lack of awareness of the sensitivities of working in a cross-cultural setting. This lack of awareness has resulted in great havoc in organisations resulting in the needless ethnic which ultimately affects the effectiveness of the company. This challenge can be nipped in the bud when adequate awareness is created right from day one of the joining of the employees.

Cultural Sensitization plays a vital role in any employee orientation. The training for the employee on board must have a cross cultural sensitization especially in the companies which have employees from different nationalities. An organization is made up of connected and related departments, therefore better and effective relationships within the company are so vital in order to achieve the set targets easily. The progress of the organization can be swift when the relationships within are smooth. In other words, in a multi-cultural context having effective and well sensitized relationships will result in effective organizational relationships with minimal conflicts. Hence it is very vital for new recruits to be aware of the diversity of the cultures in the organization.
